  After college, I didn't vault for 35 years.  
  The first outdoor record I broke (2006) was at the time, the oldest masters record on the books.  It had been set in 1971 by Herbert Schmidt of Germany.  
  The first age 60 or over vaulter to jump 13’ (3.96m) or 4.00m.
